Commercials I Hate: If it burns, it's working!
3rd Oct 2005, 20:56 GMT
Filed under: Gripes, Television You know the commercial, the one where the kid and his grandfather (at least I'm assuming that's the relationship) are in the bathroom and the grandfather puts on after shave that burns his face and tells the horrified kid "if it burns, it's working!" Then he takes the new Crest mouthwash and says "if it burns, it's working!" again. He swigs it, and, hey, it doesn't burn! And he's pleased. This is completely illogical. If this old guy has had the "if it burns, it's working!" philosophy his whole life, why does he change his mind after using the non-burning Crest mouthwash? What changed his mind? How does he know it's working? Because it tastes good? Doesn't make any sense. Read Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments
