(AP) - A mobile phone embedded with a computer chip is used to buy things at a kiosk by tapping it on a reading device marked with 'Suica' at Tokyo's JR Shinjuku Station Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2005. Japanese train company East Japan Raiway Co., that has been circulating 'Suica' prepaid ticket cards, launched the new service called 'Mobile Suica' from Jan. 28 that enables commuters who carry applicable cell phone models of Japan's top two telecommunication operators, NTT DoCoMo and KDDI Corp., embedded with Sony's IC chip technology 'FeliCa' to pay their train fares at station gates or to make payment at certain shops with just a tap of their handsets, omitting the hassle of coins. In addition to swipe your phones at recharging terminals at stations, the Mobile Suica can be recharged by mobile phones anytime anywhere and delete the sum when you lose your phones, just like e-banking.
