Shire plc (LSE: SHP, Nasdaq: SHPGY, TSX: SHQ) announced the results of a study which suggested that stimulant medications such as ADDERALL XR(R) (mixed salts of a single-entity amphetamine product) are significantly more effective than non-stimulant medications in the treatment of patients aged 8 to 15 with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
