Activists Urge Voters to Say No to Issue One
12th Oct 2005, 02:35 GMT
Anti abortion and Christian evangelical groups are urging their followers to vote no on State Issue 1. That's the ballot measure that would let Ohio borrow 2 billion dollars and use it for highway construction and high-tech research. The activists are worried some of the money could be used to commit what they consider murder. Backers of the proposal say that's a side issue that shouldn't detract from the proposal's main goal more jobs. Ohio Public Radio's Bill Cohen reports.
