Bill Gates is on stage here in Redmond right now, being interviewed by Donny Deutsch for his CNBC TV show. Earlier, in response to a question on Google, Gates complimented the search leader for its work in the areas of search and advertising, but he said Microsoft "will keep them honest in the sense of being able to better at a number of those things." "I think this is a rare case where we're being underestimated," he added. Later, when Deutsch pointed out that China's President, Hu Jintao, visited Microsoft before going to the White House, Gates responded by alluding to the controversy over the official status of Hu's visit to Washington, D.C. "We gave him a dinner," Gates explained, to laughter from the crowd.
