Taking antidepressants was thought to be a possible breast cancer risk?

Filed under: Breast Cancer Honestly, I would never have thought there was a possibility antidepressants would be linked to breast cancer at all. Apparently, the drugs used to treat depression have been studied since 1996, and the new findings clear the score. Updated and long term research clears SSRIs (selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors), clears the record and proves they do not seem to increase the risk of breast cancer. This was reported to Reuters Health by Dr. Patricia F. Coogan from Boston University. It was also found that there was no difference found in women before and after menopause who took antidepressants.
