Growth in transshipment gets port activity back on even keel

Lebanese shipping companies and the Port of Beirut will most likely do more business this year than last year despite the war this past summer, company representatives, their chamber and a port official on Wednesday. Prospects look bright for the future if the political situation is stable and the port can use more of its space for containers, industry insiders said.
