5th Oct 2005, 13:57 GMT
FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) - The European Central Bank meets Thursday to decide whether it should adjust interest rates for the euro zone, with analysts predicting that it will take no action despite a gloomy economic outlook. The meeting in Athens comes as the 12 countries that use the euro are faced with stymied growth, higher oil prices and a population more reluctant to spend amid fears that economic growth is sputtering.
