Resurrect an old inkjet
14th Nov 2006, 16:14 GMT
DIY site Instructables offers a three-step tutorial on cleaning out an old inkjet so it'll print again. Most of us have at least one forgotten printer collecting dust on a shelf; why not see if you can resurrect it, then donate it to a charity, give it to the kids, or--crazy thought, here--use it yourself? Note that this process does involve taking apart your printer, which will almost certainly void whatever warranty might be left on it. Also, the tutorial doesn't really discuss the best way to clean residual ink from the reservoir, but check the comments (theirs, not ours--though ours will probably inherit some, too) for helpful advice. — Rick Broida Clean Old Deskjet [Instructables]
