Lik-Sang goes out of Business
24th Oct 2006, 21:36 GMT
Popular Hong-Kong based import website Lik-Sang has had to close its doors thanks to the actions of SCEE and SCEI (Sony’s entertainment branches in Europe and America). After multiple law-suits against the website including the misuse of trademarks and design rights and Lik-Sang’s sales of PSP consoles to Europe were deemed unlawful by the High Court of London. Unfortunately, Lik-Sang was unable to pay up, and has had to shut its doors, refund all sales and cancel pre-orders. Lik-Sang is dedicated that no customers lose money in his crossfire. Pascal Clarysse, Marketing Manager of the now closed Lik-Sang.com said, “Blame it on Sony. That’s the latest dark spot in their shameful track record as gaming industry leader. The Empire finally ‘won’, few dominating retailers from the UK probably will rejoice the news, but everybody else in the gaming world lost something today.” Lik-Sang was a great website that helped many gamers get a taste of Japanese life with their massive collection of asian games, toys, consoles and retro offerings. I also had about 50p of affiliate credit there. Source - Lik-Sang.com
