Alstom Decides to Withdraw its Request for Suspension of the Transilien Trains Tender
13th Nov 2006, 15:12 GMT
Alstom has decided today to withdraw the request for injunction the company had made on 30 October at the Paris Tribunal Administratif, following the award by the French National Railway Company (SNCF) to Bombardier of the contract for the Transilien trains. This request had caused the final signing of the contract to be suspended. Alstom and Bombardier have been in negotiations to decide how they might cooperate on this project. Alstom has decided to withdraw its request from the current legal procedure after an agreement with Bombardier on the terms of this cooperation has been reached.
