James Milne strikes again....with the SPStatus tool
20th Nov 2005, 00:48 GMT
James Milne, of SPSkin fame, is back with a new SharePoint tool. He describes it best: How do you check for broken links in Sharepoint? With large SharePoint Portal deployments a major challenge is ensuring all the web links contained within a Portal and Team Sites are kept up to date. In SharePoint Portal and Team Sites links can be stored in "Link Lists", "Content Editor Web Parts" and "Portal Listings". Unfortunately there is no reporting tool built-in to SharePoint that will allow you to check all the links. This is where SharePoint Status can help reduce the time required to maintain a large Portal site. Anyway, software downloads are worth a million words, grab it here and let me know what you think….
