Nearly 150 people -- staff and visitors -- at a Baghdad research institute were kidnapped by gunmen dressed as police commandos Tuesday. Eyewitnesses said the gunmen arrived at the institute, part of Iraq's higher education ministry, in new pickup vehicles and stormed the building, packed the women into one room and then ordered the men into the vehicle before they sped past.
