Hurricane forms near Madeira islands

The 20th tropical storm of an uncommonly active Atlantic hurricane season strengthened quickly into a hurricane on Sunday after forming in an unusual location, near Portugal's Madeira islands.Hurricane Vince was about 200km northwest of the Madeira islands with winds of 120kph, and was moving toward the northeast at 9 kph, the US National Hurricane Centre in Miami said.
