Robot capsule fails to land on asteroid surface

TOKYO - Japan's Hayabusa probe was successful in getting to within touching distance of the asteroid Itokawa on Saturday. This manoeuver is a sign that the probe can safely land and retrieve soil samples from the surface of the asteroid next week.
