Panel Weighs Equity of Crack, Cocaine Sentences

The U.S. Sentencing Commission holds a public hearing to consider the 20-year-old law that requires far longer sentences for offenses involving crack cocaine as opposed to powdered cocaine. Opponents say the difference hurts minority communities disproportionately.
