Prenatal pictures

Filed under: Pregnancy and Birth, Photography Two of my favourite bloggers are pregnant right now and I love seeing their belly shots. The female body's ability to transform and provide is both beautiful and mind-numbingly mysterious. I had Rob take belly pictures of me. The first few pictures had my head cut off and Jordi's tail wagging hopefully in the dim background, but slowly Rob's photography skills improved and I am so grateful to have those relics of memory - one for every month I was pregnant. It surprises me that I don't remember much of what pregnancy feels like, and now that my body has changed so much again, it's nice to remember what it was. The pictures leave out the heartburn and the incessent need to pee and the crazy tight-skin feeling of late pregnancy, and just leave a little wistfulness behind. If you've never perused Flickr by 'interestingness', you should try it. The most interesting pregnancy pictures here are a fabulous way to kill half an hour.
