The Calgary Flames and Philadelphia Flyers earned a little piece of modern National Hockey League history on Tuesday by playing the first scoreless tie of the new era. Naturally, it didn't go into the record books that way. Officially, the Flyers earned a 1-0 victory thanks to Mike Richards's goal in the shootout against Miikka Kiprusoff. However, under the rules, Kiprusoff earned a shutout anyway, as did the Flyers' goalie, Antero Niittymaki. (INSIDER Edition subscribers only)
