Breaking Some Vicious Circles
13th Nov 2006, 19:37 GMT
Ghana has been plagued with all forms of indiscipline that transcends various sectors of its society. The indiscipline has caused so much decay in our socio-economic systems such that it has manifested itself as poverty and disease and our efforts through our poverty reduction strategies to ameliorate the situation only keeps getting the rich richer and the poor poorer because the root cause of the problem keeps stirring us in the face whilst we use the line of least resistance to try and resolve it. Indeed, the cardinal issue is that the root cause of the problem has not been identified.
