Ovarian cancer patients' receptivity to therapy can be determined by genes

I reported last week about a new test that can indicate for brain-cancer patients with advanced cancer whether or not they will respond to aggressive therapies that are invasive and poisonous. It appears that clinicans can now determine receptivity to chemotherapy also for patients with advanced ovarian cancer. Physicians aim to discover why some people develop cells that seem to be resistant to chemotherapy and other treatments, so they can find more effective treatments.
