(Reuters) - Brazil's acting president, Aldo Rebelo, of the Communist Party of Brazil, attends a news conference at Planalto Palace in Brasilia, November 13, 2006. Rebelo, who as President of the Lower House of Congress was called on to stand in for President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and Vice President Jose Alencar while they are both travelling outside the country, became the first communist ever to assume the presidency of Brazil, even on a temporary basis.
