TCT: New Drug-Eluting Stent Stumbles on Primary Endpoint Yet Maintains Momentum

WASHINGTON - In a large U.S. study of the third-generation drug-eluting coronary-artery stent, Endeavor, the primary endpoint was missed, an angiographic surrogate marker. Nevertheless, clinical results were as good as those seen in patients treated with Cypher.
