Employers Add 169,000 Jobs

Employers added 169,000 jobs to U.S. nonfarm payrolls in August, shy of expectations, but hiring in June and July was revised upward by 44,000 jobs. The unemployment rate slipped to a four-year low of 4.9%. (Full report)
