Lebanon approves court amid crisis
14th Nov 2006, 00:23 GMT
Lebanon's depleted government has approved a U.N. draft setting up an international tribunal to try suspects in the assassination of former PM Rafik Hariri. All five Shiite cabinet ministers and one Christian member resigned before the vote. Saad Hariri -- leader of the top Lebanese parliamentary bloc and son of the slain former prime minister -- said the resignations were part of a Syrian-Iranian plot to block the tribunal.
