Rauch's rotation chances improve

Livan Hernandez and John Patterson have locked up starting spots for the Nats, while Tony Armas Jr., Ramon Ortiz, Ryan Drese and Jon Rauch will battle for the three remaining spots. Brian Lawrence (shoulder) has a torn labrum and is out until at the least the All-Star break, opening up at least one spot.
