(Reuters) - Tanzanian Salima Rajabu, 35, who is an HIV/AIDS positive, visits a clinic at the Service Health and Development for People Living Positively with HIV/AIDS (SHIDEPHA+) on the outskirts of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania November 30, 2005. Tanzanians are called to come up for HIV tests, and those found positive are able to enjoy free anti-retroviral (ARV) treatment now available in various government hospitals and health centres. The U.N. AIDS body UNAIDS said last week that about 40 million people are living with HIV/AIDS, with new infections increasing at one of the fastest rates since the first reported case in 1981. The activists' report examined delays in HIV/AIDS treatment in six countries hit hard by the global pandemic: South Africa, the Dominican Republic, India, Kenya, Nigeria and Russia.
