Salameh denies heavy pressure on pound

Central Bank Governor Riad Salameh asserted Tuesday that the current political crisis in Lebanon had not caused any panic in the financial market. b"The market was in a state of 'wait and see' but I can assure that there was no rush to buy dollar notes in large quantities," Salameh told The Daily Star in a telephone interview.
