Wachovia to close 200 branches

Wachovia Corp., which just entered the Colorado market in October through its acquisition of World Savings Bank, on Wednesday said it would close about 200 branches across the United States by the end of 2008 in order to focus on high-growth markets in California, Texas and the Southwest.
