State pushing for U.S. AIDS funds

RALEIGH - Rapidly escalating AIDS cases in North Carolina prompted a press conference with state political and medical leaders Tuesday in the Capitol building. The state AIDS case rate increased by 60 percent from 2000 to 2004, according to the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services.
