Western Europe: New Passenger Car Registrations

October's new passenger car registrations rose by 3.4% y/y in the EU-15, to 1,116,439 units, reversing the four previous monthly declines. The wider European metric (EU-15 and EFTA) posted a 3.2% y/y gain, to 1,146,531 units; while the EU as a whole posted a 3.8% y/y gain to 1,179,118 units. Total Europe, or EU plus EFTA, rose by 3.6% y/y in October to 1,209,209.
