It might not have its own Live service, but Nintendo’s Wii will have Internet browsing capabilities. Opera Software and Nintendo have struck a deal that will have Wii users surfing the net via Opera. The browsing software will work in conjunction with Wii’s nifty remote controller. Although no set release date or confirmed price has come down the pipeline from Nintendo, the features for Wii are starting to sound better and better. From the Opera media release: Nintendo is clearly visionary in leading the gaming industry into the new era in gaming, and a wonderful partner for Opera," says Jon von Tetzchner, CEO, Opera Software. "We are thrilled to expand our partnership with Nintendo, and work with them to deliver the best gaming experience on the Wii console and the Nintendo DS™." Igniq.com has been online since early 2004, providing news updates, opinions and other interesting info for PC/video gaming fans.
