'Road map' offers way out of seeming Hamas-Israeli impasse

While still savoring their victory in recent parliamentary elections, top Hamas officials on Friday began a series of high-profile engagements with the international community. A delegation of officials from the Islamist party visited Russia, and will soon travel to Saudi Arabia and South Africa. Israeli officials, who have described the Russian invitation to Hamas as a "knife in the back," fear that the meeting will prompt other countries to break.
