Daniel Cater, 17, has to get up at 5:45 a.m. if he wants to make it to school on time.For some high-schoolers, that can be a pretty big ''if,'' but Mr. Cater can't wait to reach his classroom each morning -- even though it has mud-caked floors, particleboard desks and a propane burner for heat.
