Conquistadors' women pardoned in paperback

Two of Latin America's literary giants, Laura Esquivel and Isabel Allende, have come to the rescue of La Malinche and Inés Suárez, both reviled as collaborators in Spanish conquests, by writing novels casting them as misunderstood heroines.
