EU Scheme Cuts Uganda Sugar Funding in Forest Row

KAMPALA - A European Union-funded grants scheme has cut funding to a Ugandan sugar company because it plans to destroy 7,000 hectares of scarce natural forest to expand its sugar estate, the EU scheme said on Wednesday.
