Superior Bancorp on prowl for Florida prize

Less than two years into a planned five-year turnaround effort, Superior Bancorp CEO Stan Bailey has completed two acquisitions, rebalanced the bank's portfolio and put in motion plans to open a series of new branches in Alabama and Florida.
