Since when does the owner of a $45-million property get away with paying a measly $196,000 in property taxes? That's the last bill the current owners of Edgemere Estate paid, and as much as that may seem, it is less than half what this McMonument on Oakville's Gold Coast would yield if it were taxed at the high rates that apply to virtually every ordinary house in Greater Toronto.
