US general warns against timetable for Iraq pullout

The top US commander in the Middle East warned Congress on Wednesday against setting a timetable for US withdrawal from Iraq but said he did not believe more troops were needed.Iraqi Premier Nuri al-Maliki, meanwhile, called for the swift arrest of those behind Tuesday's mass abductions, as officials differed sharply over the number.
