Nepal Frees Jailed Protesters; Political Parties Vow to Continue to Fight for Democracy

KATMANDU, Nepal - Authorities in Nepal released more than 50 pro-democracy protesters detained over the weekend when thousands of people marched toward the capital's main square and were pushed back by police firing tear gas and wielding bamboo batons, officials said Monday.
