Hewitt's false dawn on cancer 'wonder drug'

Patricia Hewitt has been accused of raising 'false hopes' about a drug which could save thousands of women with breast cancer. Hewitt said women diagnosed with early stage breast cancer would 'from this week onwards' get the chance to be treated with Herceptin. But it was later revealed that it would not be available on the NHS until July 2006. Read our guide to Breast Awareness Month here
