Lifehacker's guide to the "everywhere" office
13th Nov 2006, 18:16 GMT
We're constantly on the road carrying our offices with us; not a bad way to go, but if you need options for a more virtual office, you need a solid toolset. Lifehacker provides that toolset with a listing of apps that support an individual or a collaborative team. Some tools we've covered before and the list is Google-centric, but there are some other apps that I wasn't aware of. Whether it's group chat, e-mail or documents, this list is a good base to start with. Be sure to check the comments for additional suggestions too! If I could add a tool, I'd replace MediaWiki with Socialtext (another free Wiki service) as it works very well with small-screened devices such as smartphones and PDAs.
