Tonight the Cleveland Orchestra is in London to perform Mahler's Third Symphony at the BBC Proms, Britain's oldest and most prestigious summer music festival. More than 70 concerts will be performed this summer at the Royal Albert Hall, and broadcast live on BBC television and radio. The Cleveland Orchestra enjoys the distinction of being the only American orchestra to be invited to this year's Proms. Its concerts tonight and tomorrow night will conclude the orchestra's third international tour under the direction of Franz Welser-Most. They arrive in London on a note of triumph.
