Call for review of school music programs

Australian schools teaching music focus too much on popularising the art form and don't give the subject enough depth, a leading conductor says.Winning Australia's most valuable individual music prize, the Don Banks Music Award, conductor and music educator Richard Gill called for revision of the country's music education systems.
