Klatt retires from NHL after 14 seasons

Kings right wing Trent Klatt announced his retirement Monday after 14 seasons in the NHL. Klatt played in 782 career games for the Kings, Vancouver Canucks, Philadelphia Flyers and Dallas Stars-Minnesota North Stars. He played in the 1997 Stanley Cup finals with the Flyers and was on the U.S. teams in the 1991 world junior championships and 1999 world championships. The 34-year-old Klatt said he wants to spend more time with his family.
