Sony signs N. First Street lease, apartments coming to former campus

Sony Electronics Inc. and The Irvine Co., a large Southern California apartment builder, announced Tuesday that they have agreed to convert a 38-acre Sony campus in North San Jose to 1,800 apartment homes and a three-acre park.
