Lebanese demonstrate that despite all the bad news, life goes on

The recent headlines from Beirut - everything from bombings to assassinations to threats from a neighboring president - convey the image of a very dark and bleak existence for the Lebanese. But while it is true that the country has been bogged down with a lot of bad news, over the weekend, thousands of Lebanese, along with citizens from countries around the world, took to the streets to prove that in spite of everything, life goes on in Beirut.
