It's a familiar pattern in the West Bank. At the slightest sign of problems the Israelis grandly huff and puff before solemnly announcing they are freezing all contacts with the Palestinians. Granted the latest incident to cause Israel to crawl back into its shell also produced the corpses of three Israeli settlers shot dead by Arab gunmen.
