United States: ABC News/Washington Post Consumer Comfort Index

The ABC News/Washington Post consumer comfort continues to impress. The headline index soared four points to 1 in the week ending November 12. The latest increase puts the headline index in positive territory for the first time since April 2002. All three of the underlying components improved over the week with a pair of four-point gains in the buying climate and economic components leading the overall charge higher. Not to be outdone, personal finances gained two points.
