Thrashers to give away cars for home wins
9th Sep 2005, 12:35 GMT
The Thrashers plan to send one fan home from Philips Arena in a new car after each home victory this season — a new blue car bearing the team's logo. "We hope there are 41 of them" on Atlanta roads by spring, said Thrashers general manager Don Waddell, who conceived the promotion. The Thrashers play 41 home games. The blue-car offer is part of the team's new marketing campaign, "Blueland," which the team defines as "the place where true blue Thrashers fans congregate."
