Every year, the Alderfers do the same things when they drive to the beach: When they get to the bridge over the Nanticoke River on the Eastern Shore, they try to hold their breath for the whole length of the span. When they get to the Assawoman Bay Bridge, they all yell out, "Hi, Ocean City!"
